Graveside service for Virginia M. Marks, age 94, of Wedowee, will be 10:00am, Friday, June 25, 2010, from Green Lawn Cemetery, Atlanta, Ga. with Rev. John Mackey officiating. Benefield Funeral Home of Wedowee in charge of arrangements.

The family will receive friends 5-7pm, Thursday, June 24, 2010 at the funeral home.

Mrs. Marks died Wednesday, June 23, 2010, at Clay County Hospital.

Mrs. Marks is survived by two daughters, Judy Marks Haley of Wedowee, Cynthia Marks Battles of Wedowee; four grandchildren; five great grandchildren; two great great grandchildren.

Mrs. Marks was born July 26, 1915 the daughter of John Charles and Violet Roberta Long Mackey. She was a member of the 1st Methodist Church, Wedowee and had been a housewife. Mrs. Marks was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Harold Marks; her parents; one brother, John Samuel Mackey. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to ones favorite charity or First Methodist Church of Wedowee.
