Obituary Notice

Funeral services for Ricky Steve Harper, Sr. age 52 of Wedowee will be held Monday September 13, 2010 at 11:00 AM at Benefield Funeral Chapel with Rev. Brian Moore officiating. Burial will follow in the Pleasant Grove Cemetery, in Bowden, Ga.

Mr. Harper passed away Friday September 10, 2010 at his residence.

Mr. Harper is survived by his wife Teresa Harper of Wedowee, a step-daughter Stephanie Owens of Wedowee, a son Steve Harper of Auburn, his father Awbrey Carey Harper of Austell, Ga., his mother Maurine Word Williams of Lithia Springs, Ga., a brother Roger Harper of Mableton, Ga. and ten grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be Thad Owens, Roger Harper, Austin Sarro and Walt Mickle.

Mr. Harper was born June 11, 1958 the son of Awbrey Carey and Maurine Word Harper, he served in the United States Navy, was disabled and a Baptist by faith.

The family will receive friends at Benefield Funeral Home in Wedowee on Sunday September 12, 2010 from 5 till 8 PM.
