Mrs. Murphree was a strong influence in my life. As my 7th,8th, and 9th grade science teacher, she greatly impacted my life by teaching science in a way which never compromised her Christian faith. She encouraged my own faith in God by the many times of sharing about life and how God was involved with it all. She took the time to teach us how our bodies were wonderfully made as sexual beings and how we should save ourselves for the privilege of this God given gift until marriage. Today I am very involved in teaching a strong abstinence until marriage program in our public schools for grades seven through twelve here in Forsyth, GA where I now reside. Mrs. Murphree impacted my life and by God's grace, I am seeking to do the same for others. I deeply admired this godly woman and I believe she heard our Savior welcome her spirit into the peace of heaven with the words,"well done my dear and faithful servant." I graduated from RCHS in 1959.
