Obituary Notice



Funeral services for Bessie D. Norred McCain age 104 of

Newell will be held Sunday April 24, 2011 at 2:00 PM at Caver's Grove

Congregational Christian Church with Rev. Gordon Taylor and Rev. Jimmy Brand

officiating. Burial will follow in the adjoining cemetery.



Mrs. McCain passed away Thursday April 21, 2011 at Golden

Living Center in Oxford.



Mrs. McCain is survived by two daughters Jean ( Jack) Mize

of Oxford and Eleane ( James) Wilder of Logansville, Ga., five grandchildren

Stephanie ( Erik) Hoffman, Don Mize, Debra Waters, David Wilder and Linda

Wilder, three great- grandchildren Steven Mize, Morgan Wilder and Joshua

Waters.



Pallbearers will be Don Mize, Steven Mize, Erik Hoffman,

James Wilder, Jack Mize and Junior Alsabrook.



Mrs. McCain was born October 20, 1906 the daughter of Oscar

and Hattie Pearl Boyd Norred. She was a homemaker and a member of Caver's Grove

Congregational Christian Church. She loved God , family, friends, her church ,

her cat and flowers.



The family will receive friends on Saturday April 23, 2011

at Benefield Funeral Home- Wedowee from 5 till 7 PM. The body will lie in state

at the church one hour prior to services.
