Funeral services for James Colton “Coty” Strange, age 25, will be held on Friday, July 3, 2015, at 2:00 PM from Benefield Funeral Chapel with Rev. Phillip Waites, Rev. Chris Mitchell, and Rev. Roger Hammett officiating. Burial will follow at Calvary Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 3:00-8:00 PM on Thursday, July 2, 2015. Mr. Strange passed away Wednesday, July 1, 2015. Survivors include his wife, Sheri Strange of Woodland; parents, John & Teresa Strange of Woodland; paternal grandparents, Bobbie & Jean Mulkey of Delta; maternal grandparents, Betty Pool of Wedowee and Marvin & Shirley Pursley of LaGrange, GA; uncle and aunts, Steven & Billie Strange of Delta and Joe & Joann Thrower of Rock Mills; father and mother-in-law, Walt & Judy Moffett of Talladega; brother-in-law, Andrew Moffett of Talladega; and a host of special brothers & sisters and nieces & nephews. Pallbearers will be Steven Strange, David Browning, Walt Moffett, Andrew Moffett, Chris Poindexter, Ben Gann, Alan Gann, and Xander Morales. Honorary pallbearers will be Farron Humphries and Jerry Brown. A Randolph County native, Mr. Strange was born in on June 1, 1990, the son of John Edward and Teresa Pool Strange. He was a member of Calvary Baptist Church and worked for Norton’s Flooring in Wedowee. Mr. Strange was preceded in death by his paternal grandfather, James Bert Strange and maternal grandfather, Billy Pool.
