Funeral services for Nell McCollough, age 86, of Newell will be held on Tuesday, November 10, 2015, at 11:00 AM from Benefield Funeral Chapel with Wayne Stevens, Connie Tumlin, and Ray Clevenger officiating. Burial will follow at Pine Hill Church of Christ Cemetery.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 9:30-11:00 AM on Tuesday, November 10, 2015.
Mrs. McCollough passed away Sunday, November 8, 2015, at her residence.
Survivors include her husband, Lance McCollough; one daughter, Ann Brown (husband, Ken) of Newell; two sons, Nelson McCollough (wife, Kay) of Eclectic, AL, and Wilburn McCollough (wife, Jill) of Newell; ten grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be grandsons and nephews.
A lifelong Randolph County resident, Mrs. McCollough was born in Bowdon, Georgia, on December 15, 1928, the daughter of Arby and Trudy Yates Chambers. She was a member of Pine Hill Church of Christ and was a housewife. Mrs. McCollough was preceded in death by her parents, three sisters, and two brothers.
