Graveside services for Eschol C. Wilder, age 87, of St. Louis, Missouri, formerly of Randolph County, will be held on Saturday, November 28, 2015, at 1:00 PM from Levens Baptist Church Cemetery with Benefield Funeral Home of Wedowee in charge of arrangements. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 10:00 AM-12:00 PM on Saturday, November 28, 2015. Mr. Wilder passed away Monday, November 23, 2015, at NHC Manorcare in Maryland Heights, Missouri. Survivors include: one daughter, Sheila Wilder Brabec of Anchorage, AK; two sons, Rick Wilder of Anchorage, AK and Tim Wilder of St. Louis, MO; six grandchildren, Nicole Lamb, Jamie Corpuz, Courtney Becker, Jordan Wilder, Jacob Wilder, and Josh Wilder; four great-grandchildren, Brandon Corpus, Jordan Corpuz, Ella Lamb, and Madeline Lamb; and three brothers, Otto Wilder, James Ray Wilder, and Bennie Wilder. A Randolph County native, Mr. Wilder was born on December 17, 1927, the son of Monroe and Minnie Dewberry Wilder. He was a United States Army Veteran of the Korean War and worked in transportation for the United States Government. Mr. Wilder was preceded in death by his parents, his loving wife Dorothy and a sister, Loree Wilder Williamson. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to the American Cancer Society.
