Memorial services for James Denham (Doc) Johnson age 74 of Newell will be held Saturday December 8, 2012 at 11:00 AM from Crossroads Baptist Church with Rev. Larry Cosper officiating.
Mr. Johnson passed away Saturday December 1, 2012 at Wills Memorial Hospital in Washington, Georgia.
Mr. Johnson is survived by his wife Joyce Cantrell Johnson of Newell; two daughters Robin Lavallee of Wedowee and Cindy (Kevin) Watson of Jasper, Ga; one son James Gregory (Pam) Johnson of Wedowee; five sisters Joyce Calvert and Betty Jean Rovira both of Mobile, Rosa Johnson of Marietta, Ga., Helen Strickland of Tifton, Ga. and Mary Nan Bolick of Florida; three brothers Fred A. Johnson of Canton, Ga., Herman Johnson II of Marietta, Ga. and Jimmy Johnson of Crawfordville, Ga. one grandson Trae J. Johnson.
Mr. Johnson was born July 6, 1938 the son of James Herman and Ethel L. Denham Johnson. He was a retired electrician with the Tibbs Group and a member of Crossroads Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by his parents, one son Darrel Lee Johnson, one sister and three brothers.
