Funeral services for Janice Marie Bain Ayres age 69 of Heflin will be held Friday December 7, 2012 at 2:00 PM from Pinetucky Baptist Church with Rev. Donald Triplett, Cliff Mize and Vann Williamson officiating. Burial will follow in the adjoining cemetery.
Mrs. Ayers passed away Wednesday December 5, 2012 at her residence.
Mrs. Ayers is survived by one daughter Tina (Cliff) Mize of Heflin; one son Billy G. (Charlotte) Ayres of Heflin; one sister Stella Ann Triplett of Heflin; two brothers John Bain of Heflin and Jerry Bain of Oxford; eight grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Matthew Smith, Harvey Ward, Phillip Chasse', Roger Prater, Randy Triplett, Johnny Bain and Ray Nolen.
Mrs. Ayers was born February 27, 1943 the daughter of Henry Grady and Nellie Harlan Bain. She was a self- employed beautician and a member of Pinetucky Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Billy Pat Ayres, a grandchild Andrew Patrick Ayres, three sisters and two brothers.
The family will receive friends on Thursday December 6, 2012 at Benefield Funeral Home-Wedowee from 5 till 8 PM. The body will lie in state at the church one hour prior to services.
