Obituary of Sue Hodge Fincher

Obituary Notice Graveside services for Sue Hodge Fincher age 82 of Wedowee will be held Saturday December 22, 2012 at 11:00 AM from Wedowee City Cemetery with Rev. Gary Henderson officiating. Mrs. Fincher passed away Thursday December 20, 2012 at her residence. She is survived by two sons C.G. (Buster) Fincher III of Auburn and Mark Allen Fincher of Wedowee; two daughters- in-law Sonja Fincher of Wedowee and Cathy Fincher of Auburn: one sister Frances Coxwell of Monroeville: two granddaughters Lindsey Gaines Fincher and Cary Bailey: one grandson Andrew Gaines Fincher. Pallbearers will be Buster Fincher, Mark Fincher, Stanley Herring, Andrew Fincher, Steve Spratlin, Cole Heard and Mike Craft. Mrs. Fincher was born December 28, 1929 the daughter of L. T. (Doc) and Luverne Allen Hodge. She was a retired teacher from the Alabama School Systems. She was the first woman trustee at Auburn University and a lifetime member of Auburn Alumni Association. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Wedowee. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Jack Fincher, Jr., one son James Jay Fincher and one sister Margaret Hodge Crowder.
