Funeral services for Mrs. Ray Bowen McDonald, age 90, of Lagrange, GA, will be Monday, January 7, 2013, from Jordan Chapel Methodist Church with Rev. Brian Moore officiating. Mrs. McDonald will lie in state one hour before the service at the church. Burial will follow in the adjoining cemetery with Benefield Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 3:00 pm to 6:00 pm on Sunday, January 6th.
Mrs. McDonald died Saturday, January 5, 2013, at West GA Medical Center. She is survived by two sisters; Jessie Mae Hinson of Lagrange, GA, and Ruby Williams of East Point, GA, and one brother, Albert Bowen of Morrison's Crossroads.
Mrs. McDonald was born May 20, 1922, the daughter of Jim and Mattie Whaley Bowen. She was a member of Jordan Chapel Methodist Church and was retired from Milliken. She is preceded in death by her parents, husband, Milford McDonald, and one daughter, Elsie Mae Windson.
