Obituary Notice
Funeral services for Florence Jones Mitchell age 81 of Opelika will be held Monday February 18, 2013 at 2:00 PM from Benefield Funeral Chapel with Rev. Bobby Burroughs officiating. Burial will follow in the Mount Grove Baptist Church Cemetery.
Mrs. Mitchell passed away Saturday February 16, 2013 at Arbor Springs Health and Rehab in Opelika.
Mrs. Mitchell is survived by three daughters Linda Treadwell of Lawrenceville, Ga., Gary Sabbatino of Hilton Head, S.C. and Debra Stallings of Opelika; one son Bo Mitchell of Roanoke; two brothers Howard Pauley and Gwin Pauley both of Newell; six grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Danny Mitchell, Kenneth Mitchell, Denny Treadwell, Jack Stallings, Chris Wortham and Joe Sabbatino.
Mrs. Mitchell was born November 13, 1931 the daughter of David and Cassie Jones. She was a retired seamstress at Palm Beach Mfg. Co. and a Baptist by faith. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Joe Mitchell and three brothers.
The family will receive friends on Sunday February 17, 2013 at Benefield Funeral Home- Wedowee from 4:30 till 7 PM.
