Obituary of Mitchell Gay Burns

Obituary Notice Graveside services for Mitchell Gay Burns, III, age 68, of Wedowee will be held Thursday February 21, 2013 at 2:00 PM from Wedowee City Cemetery with Rev. Mike Stonebraker officiating. Mr. Burns passed away Saturday February 16, 2013 at his residence. Mr. Burns is survived by his wife Celia Burns of Wedowee; three daughters Michele Teddlies and Melissa Burns both of Memphis, Texas, and Alicia Stonebraker of Valley; three sons Michael Burns of Roanoke, Neal Dedrickson of Colonia, N.J. and Robert Burns of Wedowee; twelve grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. Mr. Burns was born May 21, 1944 the son of Mitchell Gay and Margie Dennis Burns. He was retired from motorcycle sales for Honda-Suzuki of Opelika. He had served in the United States Air Force and was a Methodist by faith. He was preceded in death by his parents and his first wife Janet Burns. The family will receive friends at Benefield Funeral Home- Wedowee on Wednesday February 20, 2013 from 6 till 8 PM.
