Obituary Notice Funeral services for James Albert "A J" Huddleston age 71 of Woodland will be held Tuesday February 26, 2013 at 1:00 PM from Prospect Methodist Church with Rev. Donald Leggett, Rev. Randy Terrell and Rev. Ridley Parmer officiating. Burial will follow in the adjoining cemetery. Mr. Huddleston passed away Sunday February 24, 2013 at his residence. Survivors include his wife Mary Jane Huddleston of Woodland; one daughter Sheila Ann Freed of Woodland; two sons Calvin Rex Huddleston of Indianapolis, In. and Dan Huddleston of Woodland; three sisters Mary Mote and Alice Strain both of Wedowee and Zula Bush of Cullman; three brothers Joe Huddleston of Florida, Lewis Huddleston of Woodland and Roy Huddleston of Wedowee; six grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. Pallbearers will be Ken Norton, Tony Taylor, Charles Mote, Adam Freed, Ricky Young and Murl Williams. Mr. Huddleston was born December 19, 1941 in Randolph County the son of Albert and Lillie Bowen Huddleston. He was retired from Pilgrim's Pride Poultry Co. and a member of Prospect Methodist Church. He was preceded in death by his parents, one son Charles Ray Huddleston, one sister Lera Huddleston and one brother Benny Don Huddleston. The family will receive friends at Benefield Funeral Home- Wedowee on Monday February 25, 2013 from 5 till 8 PM. The body will lie in state at the church one hour prior to services.
