Obituary of Jerrie Pauline Newton Belcher

OBITUARY Funeral services for Jerrie Pauline Newton Belcher, age 56 of Wedowee, will be held Tuesday, March 26, 2013 at 3:00 p.m. from Benefield Funeral Chapel with Rev. Brian Moore officiating. Burial will follow at Midway Methodist Church Cemetery with Benefield Funeral Home of Wedowee in charge of arrangements. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. on Monday, March 25th. Ms. Belcher died Monday, March 18, 2013, at University Hospital, Birmingham. Survivors include one daughter, Brandie Belcher of Wedowee; two sons, Terry Belcher of Macon, Ga. and Clarence Belcher of Buford, Ga.; one sister, Bernice Kellett of Paulding County, Ga.; three brothers, Mark Newton of Carrollton, Ga., Rex Newton of Winston, Ga. and Sidney Newton of Newnan, Ga.; eight grandchildren. Pallbearers will be Timothy Miller, Clifton Smith Jr., Randy Tyson and Russell Teston. An Atlanta, Georgia native, Ms. Belcher was born April 6, 1956, daughter of Tatum and Bessie Miller Newton. She had been employed with J. Carl's Cleaners in Carrollton, Georgia.
