Obituary Notice

Funeral services for Frederick George Davis age 61 of Roanoke will be held Wednesday April 24, 2013 at 2:00 PM from Benefield Funeral Chapel with Rev. Keith Benefield and Rev. Ben DiZoglio officiating. Burial will follow in the Beason Grove Baptist Church Cemetery.

Mr. Davis passed away Sunday April 21, 2013 at Wedowee Hospital.

Mr. Davis is survived by his wife Lynn Arrington Davis of Roanoke; Three daughters Christy (Jerry) Bennett, Amy (Tracy) Crenshaw and Niki (McCale) Baker all of Roanoke; His mother Lillar Reaves Davis of Heflin; Two sisters Gwen Dorough of Five Points and Kim (Greg) Jordan of LaGrange, Ga; One brother Steve Davis of LaGrange, Ga; Five grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be Chad Folds, Charles Honeycutt, Joel Honeycutt, Shane Arrington, Donald Brown and Jamie Welborn.

Mr. Davis was born April 16, 1952 the son of George L. and Lillar Reaves Davis. He was retired from Fiberglass Unlimited as an installer and a member of the Church of God. He was a veteran of the Vietnam War serving in the United States Army. He was preceded in death by his father George L. Davis and a brother Gary L. Davis.

The family will receive friends at Benefield Funeral Home-Wedowee on Tuesday April 23, 2013 from 6 till 8 PM.
