Memorial services for Ruth Glaze age 93 of Wedowee will be held Friday May 31, 2013 at 2:00 PM from Benefield Funeral Chapel.
Mrs. Glaze passed away Saturday May 25, 2013 at Cleburne County Nursing Home.
She is survived by two sons Mansel (wife Sue) Glaze of Wedowee and Ken ( wife Rena) Glaze of Mableton, Ga; three sisters Laverne (husband Jimmy) Whitfield and Dessie Smelcer both of Cleveland, Ga. and Bessie Mathews of Thomaston, Ga; Seventeen grandchildren, Eighteen great-grandchildren and eight great-great-grandchildren.
Mrs. Glaze was born August 19, 1919 the daughter of Henry Clay and Hattie Mae Hughes Stephens. She was retired from Marriott Hotel in Atlanta Georgia as a switchboard operator and of the Methodist faith. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Alvin Glaze, two sons Ron and Lamar Glaze.
