Obituary of Kathy Satterwhite Horsley

Funeral services for Kathy Satterwhite Horsley, 61, of Wedowee, Alabama, will be held on Friday, July 19, 2013, at 2:00 p.m. from Benefield Funeral Chapel with Dr. Corky Addison officiating. Burial will follow at the Wedowee City Cemetery. The family will receive friends at Benefield Funeral Home from 5:00-8:00 p.m. on Thursday, July 18, 2013. Mrs. Horsley died July 17, 2013, at Tanner Medical Center in Carrollton, Georgia. Survivors include her husband, Curtis E. Horsley of Wedowee; two daughters, K. Suzanne Story and Maranda Malone, both of Daphne, AL; Rob Malone of Daphne, AL, who was like a son; one brother, Alan Satterwhite of Wedowee; and three grandchildren. Pallbearers will be Chuck Horsley, Rob Malone, Rick Moss, Jeff Pittman, and Travis Pittman. A Chambers County native, Mrs. Horsley was born on October 16, 1951, the daughter of Milton Satterwhite and Sarah Webb Satterwhite. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Wedowee and had been employed by Georgia Power as a secretary. Mrs. Horsley was preceded in death by her parents and one aunt, Earnestine Satterwhite.
