Memorial services for Karen Marie Brunner, age 67, of Wedowee will be held on Thursday, August 22, 2013, at 4:00 p.m. from Benefield Funeral Chapel with the Rev. Elvis North officiating.
Mrs. Brunner died Wednesday, August 14, 2013, at Kindred Hospital in Rome, Georgia.
Survivors include her husband, Loren Brunner of Wedowee and many friends.
A Milwaukee, Wisconsin native, Mrs. Brunner was born on March 3, 1946, the daughter of Henry "Hank" and Carolyn "Carrie" Schucht. She was employed with Journal Communications in sales and marketing, was a volunteer with the Ladies Auxiliary at Wedowee Hospital, and was an advocate for the Humane Society, especially Randolph County. Mrs. Brunner was preceded in death by her parents. Karen was a gentle soul.
Memorials may be floral or the family suggests contributions to the Randolph County Animal Shelter.
