Graveside services for Ruthie (Dean) Madden Holloway, age 80, of Woodland will be held on Saturday, September 21, 2013, at 10:00 a.m. from Highway Congregational Methodist Church with Rev. Roger Florence officiating. The family will receive friends at Benefield Funeral Home from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. on Friday, September 20, 2013. Mrs. Holloway died Thursday, September 19, 2013, at her residence. Survivors include: two sons, Ronald Bowen and Kenneth Bowen, both of Woodland; two brothers, Earnest Madden and C.T. Madden, both of Woodland; three grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren. Pallbearers will be Chris Smith, Terry Vordenbaum, David Gonzalez, Dustin Hayes, Jacob Terrell, and Tyler Terrell. A Randolph County native, Mrs. Holloway was born on July 11, 1933, the daughter of Loyd Edward and Mattie Spears Madden. She was a member of Highway Congregational Methodist Church and was a presser at Lamar Manufacturing Company. Mrs. Holloway was preceded in death by her parents; her first husband, Hollis Bowen; her second husband, Winford Holloway; two sisters and one brother.
