Obituary of Polly Sue Harris

Funeral services for Polly Sue Lovvorn Harris, age 80, of Woodland will be held on Wednesday, October 9, 2013, at 2:00 p.m. from Herren's Grove Baptist Church with Rev. Ridley Parmer and Rev. Stephen Dedman officiating. Burial will follow at Herren's Grove Baptist Cemetery with Benefield Funeral Home in charge of arrangements. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 5:00-8:00 p.m. on Tuesday, October 08, 2013. Mrs. Harris will lie in state for one hour prior to services beginning at 1:00 on Wednesday, October 9, 2013. Mrs. Harris died Monday, October 7, 2013, at her residence. Survivors include: one daughter, Margaret (Michael O.) Jackson of Woodland; two grandchildren, Ashley Parkerson and Abbey Harris; one daughter-in-law, Kim (Tony) Shealy of Alexandria; and one sister, Barbara Holloway of Bowden, GA. Pallbearers will be Tommy Lovvorn, Bill Lovvorn, Jeff Stewart, Keith Holloway, Jimmy Kierbow, and Bennie Wilder. A Randolph County native, Mrs. Harris was born on August 23, 1933, the daughter of R.C. and Margie Johnson Lovvorn. She was a member of Herren's Grove Baptist Church and was an inspector for Bremen-Bowden Investment Company. Mrs. Harris was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Charlie Will Harris; and her son, Thomas Harris.
