Funeral services for Jane B. Whaley, age 57, of Wedowee will be held on Thursday, November 14, 2013, at 2:00 PM from Benefield Funeral Chapel with Rev. Jerry Smith and Rev. Kevin Whaley officiating. Burial will follow at Cavers Grove Christian Cemetery.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 5:00-8:00 PM on Wednesday, November 13, 2013.
Mrs. Whaley died Tuesday, November 12, 2013, at her residence.
Survivors include her husband, Ricky R. Whaley of Wedowee; one daughter, Jade Whaley of Wedowee; one son, Cory Whaley of Roanoke; two sisters, Linda Kirby of Roanoke and Judy Smith of Roanoke; and one brother, Daryl Boyd of Wedowee.
A Randolph County native, Mrs. Whaley was born on February 13, 1957, the daughter of John Dallas and Annie Bell McCain Boyd. She was an insurance agent with American General. Mrs. Whaley was preceded in death by her parents; son, David Gosdin; sister, Janice Bentley; and brother, Eldon Boyd.
