Obituary Notice








Funeral services for Josie Mae Parker Teal age 96 of Woodland will be held Monday November 25, 2013 at 11 AM from Liberty Grove Congregational Methodist Church with Rev. Bobby Jones, Rev. Greg Norred officiating.






Mrs. Teal passed away Saturday November 23, 2013 at Memory Lane Assisted Living Community in Bowden, Ga.






Survivors include a host of nieces and nephews.






Pallbearers and honorary pallbearers will be nephews and nephews-in-law.






A Randolph County native, Mrs. Teal was born May 1, 1917 the daughter of Joe and Viola Wilson Parker. She was a homemaker, a member of Liberty Grove Methodist Church. She had been a member of Better Homes Club and Woodland Senior Citizens. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Roy H. Teal, six sisters Iva Dewberry, Tessie Ware, Minnie Lee Gross, Effie Walls, Clois Lashley and Winnie Baker. Five brothers Loyd, Willie,Vernon, Bruell and Garvis Parker.






The family will accept flowers or donations may be made to Liberty Grove Methodist Church Cemetery Fund.






The family will receive friends at Benefield Funeral Home- Wedowee on Sunday November 24, 2013 from 4 till 8 PM. The body will lie in state at the church one hour prior to services.
