Funeral services for Brenda Joyce Allen, age 56, of Heflin will be held Thursday, February 20, 2014, at 11:00 AM from Benefield Funeral Chapel with Rev. Phillip Patterson and Rev. Roger Florence officiating. Burial will follow in the Woodland First Congregational Methodist Church Cemetery with Benefield Funeral Home of Wedowee in charge of arrangements.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 5:00-8:00 PM on Wednesday, February 19, 2014.
Mrs. Allen passed away Monday, February 17, 2014, at UAB Hospital in Birmingham.
She is survived by her husband Stanley Allen of Heflin; one daughter, Mandy Allen of Woodland; one son, David Allen of Carrollton, Georgia; one sister, Jean Cantrell of Woodland; three brothers, Russell Hunter of Ranburne, Wayne Hunter and Randy Hunter of Wedowee; and six grandchildren.
A Chambers County, Alabama native, Mrs. Allen was born on December 26, 1957, the daughter of Jeff and Maudine Hanner Hunter. She was preceded in death by her parents.
