Funeral services for Arthur Aaron Bunn, age 70, of Wedowee, will be held Sunday, March 16, 2014, at 2:30 pm from Benefield Funeral Chapel with Rev. Wayne Honeycutt and Donnie Perry officiating. Burial will follow in the Corinth Christian Church Cemetery. Benefield Funeral Home of Wedowee is in charge of arrangements. Mr. Bunn passed away Friday, March 14, 2014, at UAB Hospital. The family will receive friends at Benefield Funeral Home- Wedowee from 12:30 until 2:30 pm on Sunday, March 16, 2014. Mr. Bunn is survived by his wife, Shirley Albright Bunn of Wedowee; one son, Michael Bunn (Brooke) of Birmingham; two grandchildren, Drew and Mark Bunn; two sisters, Barbara Jane Blake of Fulton, MS, and Carol Bunn of Alabaster; four brothers, Max Bunn of San Jose, CA, Joel Bunn of Wedowee, Roy Bunn of Wedowee, and Dwight Bunn of Florence. Pallbearers will be Drew Bunn, Phil Bunn, Joe Blake, Jonathan Bunn, Chris Albright, and Walt Albright. Honorary pallbearers will be BNSF railroaders. Mr. Bunn was born on September 25, 1943, the son of Theodore and Cludia Sailors Bunn. He was a 1961 graduate of RCHS and a 1979 graduate of UAB. Mr. Bunn was also a retired BNSF railroad engineer, and he was a member of Westwood Baptist Church in Birmingham. Mr. Bunn was a paratrooper for the 101st Airborne Division. He trained at Ft. Benning, GA, and he was stationed at Ft. Campbell, KY. He was preceded in death by his parents and one sister, Betty Frances Bunn. The family will accept flowers but prefer donations to Corinth South Christian Church Cemetery Fund, located near Wadley, Alabama.
