Obituary of Buddy Gene Adams

Funeral services for Buddy Gene Adams, age 66, of Wadley will be held on Friday, April 11, 2014, at 2:00 PM from Amazing Grace Baptist Church at 27440 Highway 431 Wedowee with Rev. David Phillips officiating. Burial will follow at Macedonia Baptist Cemetery in Delta with Benefield Funeral Home of Wedowee in charge of arrangements. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 5:00-8:00 PM on Thursday, April 10, 2014. Mr. Adams will lie in state at the church for one hour prior to services beginning at 1:00 PM Friday. Mr. Adams passed away Sunday, April 6, 2014, at Wedowee Hospital. Survivors include: one daughter, Angela (husband, Christian) Elizabeth Pool of Lemmon, South Dakota and their children, Renea, Brandi, Sarah, and Abigail; one son, Gregory (wife, Paula) Scott Adams of Wadley and their children Dillon and Autumn; one sister, Margaret Sweet of Pell City; and three brothers, Roy Adams of Talladega, George Adams of Boaz, and Dan Adams of Ohatchee. A Talladega native, Mr. Adams was born on October 28, 1947, the son of George Clifford and Ida Vera Moxley Adams. He was a member of Amazing Grace Baptist Church and was employed at Tru-Wood Cabinets in Ashland. Mr. Adams was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Teresa Spurlin Adams; one sister, Inez Watts; and one brother, Delmer Adams.
