Funeral services for Mary Francis Holloway Wilson, age 83, of Phenix City will be held on Tuesday, April 22, 2014, at 2:00 PM from Benefield Funeral Chapel with Rev. Dean Knipe officiating. Burial will follow at Mt. Pleasant Baptist Cemetery.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 12:00-2:00 PM on Tuesday, April 22, 2014.
Mrs. Wilson passed away Friday, April 18, 2014, at her residence.
Survivors include: two daughters, Barbara (Gaines) Whatley of Auburn and Debra (Tommy) Duke of Smiths Station; six grandchildren, Fran T. Howard(Tim McDonald), Ashley (Jon) D. Whatley, W. Wade Higgins; Matt (Ana) Higgins, T.J. (Mandi) Duke, and Jason Duke; three great-grandchildren; two sisters, Lilly Richardson of Fontana, CA, and Rachel Perry of Wedowee; and two brothers Walter (Linda) Holloway of Roanoke and Larry (Patty) Holloway of Wedowee.
A Randolph County native, Mrs. Wilson was born on October 23, 1930, the daughter of Roy and Maudie Simpson Holloway. She was Baptist by faith and worked for West Point Pepperell. Mrs. Wilson was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Curtis J. Wilson; three daughters, Mary Lou Wilson, Josephine Wilson, and Irene Wilson; three sisters, Mavis Hand, Sarah Martin, and Bernice Holloway; and two brothers, Harvis Holloway and Roosevelt Holloway.
