Funeral services for Bruce Campbell Arrington, age 75, of Woodland will be held on Friday, May 30, 2014, at 12:00 PM from Liberty East Baptist Church with Rev. J.C. Phillips. Burial will follow in the adjoining cemetery with Benefield Funeral Home of Wedowee in charge of arrangements. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 5:00-8:00 PM on Thursday, May 29, 2014. Mr. Arrington will lie in state at the church for one hour prior to services beginning on Friday, May 30. Mr. Arrington passed away Tuesday, May 27, 2014, at his residence. Survivors include his wife, Shelba Jean Arrington of Woodland; one daughter, Tina Arrington Heuer (husband, Jeremy) of Woodland; two sons, Gene Arrington and Joey Arrington of Woodland; seven grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; three sisters, Runette Rampy of Bremen, GA, Wilma Moncus of Opelika, and Sylvia Cantrell of Woodland; and one sister-in-law, Alva Jean Spradlin of Woodland. Pallbearers will be Mitch Cooper, Avery Arrington, Johnny Mitchell, Dale Perry, Dylan Arrington, and Justin Stapler. Honorary pallbearers will be Doc Moody, Lonnie Lamanick, and Donnie Arrington. A Woodland native, Mr. Arrington was born on October 11, 1938, the son of Talmadge and Eva Edmondson Arrington. He was a member of Liberty East Baptist Church and a retired supervisor from SouthWire. Mr. Arrington was preceded in death by his parents; one sister, Doris Traylor; and one brother, Theron Arrington. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Liberty East Baptist Church in memory of Bruce Arrington, 15559 Co Rd 87, Woodland, AL 36280.
