Funeral services for Danny Ray Roberts, age 54, of Newell will be held on Saturday, June 14, 2014, at 2:00 PM from Benefield Funeral Chapel with Rev. Steve Dempsey officiating. Burial will follow at Union Baptist Church Cemetery.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 12:30-2:00 PM on Saturday, June 14, 2014.
Mr. Roberts passed away Wednesday, June 11, 2014, at his residence.
Survivors include his mother, Ruby Whitmore Roberts, of Newell, and two brothers, Larry Joe (wife, Anita) Roberts and Gary Lee Roberts of Newell.
A Randolph County native, Mr. Roberts was born on July 31, 1959, the son of William Arthur and Ruby Kate Whitmore Roberts. He was a member of Rock Springs Baptist Church and was a self-employed carpenter. Mr. Roberts was preceded in death by his father, William Arthur Roberts.
