Obituary of Nadine Kelley Herren

Funeral services for Nadine Kelley Herren, age 68, of Heflin will be held on Sunday, July 20, 2014, at 2:00 PM from Benefield Funeral Chapel with Rev. Jackie Simmons and Rev. Anthony Herren officiating. A graveside memorial service to be held at Potash Cemetery with Bro. Ridley Herren and Bro. Edward Herren officiating will be announced at a later date. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 5:00-8:00 PM on Saturday, July 19, 2014. Mrs. Herren passed away Friday, July 18, 2014, at Wedowee Hospital in Wedowee, Alabama. Survivors include her husband, Rushell Herren of Heflin; three sons, Chris (wife, Donna) Burk of Woodland, Lynn Burk of Wedowee, and Timothy Ellis of Heflin; one stepson, Randy (wife, Teresa) Herren of Woodland; ten grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; four sisters, Faye Boyd, Eris Watson, Mary Nell Redden, and Melba Jeter, all of Roanoke; and one brother, Bobby Kelley of Woodland. A Roanoke native, Mrs. Herren was born on March 23, 1946, the daughter of Robert and Odesser McDaniel Kelley. She was Protestant by faith and was a homemaker. Mrs. Herren was preceded in death by her parents; two brothers, Earnest Kelley and William Kelley; and one sister, Kathleen Kelley.
