Funeral services for Albert Eddie Bowen, age 73, of Newell will be held on Tuesday, July 29, 2014, at 2:00 PM from Benefield Funeral Chapel with Rev. Jason Reaves officiating. Burial will follow at Jordan Chapel Methodist Cemetery.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 11:30-2:00 PM on Tuesday, July 29, 2014.
Mr. Bowen passed away Saturday, July 26, 2014, at West Georgia Medical Center in LaGrange, Georgia.
Survivors include: two sisters, Jessie Mae Hinson of LaGrange, GA, and Ruby Williams of Jonesboro, GA.
Pallbearers will be friends and nephews.
A Randolph County native, Mr. Bowen was born on August 15, 1940, the son of Jim and Mattie Whaley Bowen. He was a member of Jordan Chapel Congregational Methodist Church and was a sawmill operator for Cofield Logging Company. Mr. Bowen was preceded in death by his parents, four sisters, and five brothers.
