Funeral services for Wilma Hadley Holloway, age 90, of Wedowee, will be held on Thursday, October 9, 2014, at 1:00 PM from Benefield Funeral Chapel with Rev. Barrett Holloway officiating. Burial will follow at Mt. Pleasant Baptist Cemetery.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 5:00-8:00 PM on Wednesday, October 8, 2014.
Mrs. Holloway passed away Tuesday, October 07, 2014, in Wedowee, Alabama.
Survivors include: three sons, Barrett Holloway of Wedowee, Michael Holloway of Woodland, and Timothy Holloway of Wedowee; seven grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; and one sister, Hoyle Hadley of Wedowee.
Pallbearers will be Mrs. Holloway's grandsons. Honorary pallbearers will be Jimmy Bradley, Larry Holloway, Lamar Payne, Freddie Payne, and Gleason Pool.
A Randolph County native, Mrs. Holloway was born on April 8, 1924, the daughter of Jim and Eva Wortham Hadley. She was a member of Cherith Baptist Church and was a retired lunchroom worker at Randolph County High School. Mrs. Holloway was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Hollis Holloway; one son, Danny Holloway; two sisters; and two brothers.
