Obituary of Carole Ann Cooper Steinard

Funeral services for Carole Ann Cooper Steinard, age 69, of Woodland, will be held on Wednesday, October 29, 2014 at 2:00 PM from Prospect Congregational Methodist Church with Rev. Ridley Parmer and Rev. Randy Terrell officiating. Burial will follow at Prospect Congregational Methodist Church Cemetery with Benefield Funeral Home in charge of the arrangements. The family will receive friends at Benefield Funeral Home from 5:00 to 8:00 PM on Tuesday, October 28, 2014. Mrs. Steinard died on Sunday, October 26, 2014 at Wedowee Hospital. Survivors include her husband, Charles Robert "Bob" Steinard of Woodland; two daughters, Lisa Birdsall of New York and Bonnie Macemore of South Carolina; three sons, Jason Steinard of Bowdon, GA, Bobby Steinard of New York, and Jeffery Politis of Woodland; nine grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. Pallbearers will be Jason Steinard, Bobby Steinard, Jeffery Politis, Cecil Bailey, Richard Jeter, Ray Phillips, and Murl Williams. A Cornwall, New York native, Mrs. Steinard was born May 15, 1945, daughter of Walter and Helen Cooper. She was a member of Prospect Congregational Methodist Church and was a self-employed dog groomer. She was preceded in death by her parents and two sisters. Memorials may be floral or the family suggests contributions to the Randolph County Animal Shelter.
