Funeral services for Curtis Moon Noles, age 85, of Wedowee will be held on Friday, November 21, 2014, at 11:00 AM from Big Springs Baptist Church with Rev. Scott Whaley officiating. Burial will follow in the adjoining cemetery with Benefield Funeral Home in charge of arrangements. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 5:00-8:00 PM on Thursday, November 20, 2014. Mrs. Noles will lie in state for one hour prior to services beginning on Friday. Mrs. Noles passed away Wednesday, November 19, 2014, at Lineville Health & Rehab. Survivors include: two daughters, Cindy Earnest (husband, Johnny) of Wedowee and Sharon Daniel (husband, Ricky) of Wedowee; six grandchildren, Sabrina Earnest Voss, Ryan Earnest (wife, Kaydie), Calan Daniel, Addison Daniel (wife, Megan); Lance Daniel, and Braxton Daniel; one great-grandchild, Justin Voss; and one sister, Shirley Youngblood of Troy. Pallbearers will be Mrs. Noles' grandsons, Ryan Earnest, Calan Daniel, Addison Daniel, Lance Daniel, Braxton Daniel, Justin Voss, and Tim Noles. A Randolph County native, Mrs. Noles was born on May 31, 1929, the daughter of James Martin and Hattie Brown Moon. She was a member of Big Springs Baptist Church and was a homemaker. Mrs. Noles was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Huey Haynes Noles; two sisters, Sarah Kitchens and Mary Williams; and six brothers, Milton, Willie, Ray Sr., Hugh, Travis, and Malcolm Moon.
