Obituary of Katherine Bolt

Funeral services for Katherine Bolt, age 84, of Wedowee will be held on Thursday, December 4, 2014, at 2:00 PM from Bethel West Baptist Church with Rev. David Holcombe officiating. Burial will follow in the adjoining cemetery with Benefield Funeral Home in charge of arrangements. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 4:00-8:00 PM on Wednesday, December 03, 2014. Mrs. Bolt will lie in state at the church for one hour prior to services beginning on Thursday. Mrs. Bolt passed away Tuesday, December 2, 2014, at Wedowee Hospital. Survivors include: one daughter, Darlene Brown of Crossville, TN; one son, Sherlon Bolt of Wedowee; nine grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild. Pallbearers will be Chris McCain, Lanny Bolt, Lance Bolt, Rodney Davenport, Levi Brown, Mark Kirby, and Bobby Bolt. A Randolph County native, Mrs. Bolt was born on March 25, 1930, the daughter of Ernest and Lillie Pate Pool. She was a member of Bethel West Baptist Church and worked as a seamstress for Higgins Slack Company. Mrs. Bolt was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Cleamon Bolt; two sons, Stanley and Stevie Bolt; two sisters and one brother.
