Funeral services for Eldora Sims Molden, age 72, of Wadley will be held on Saturday, February 28, 2015, at 1:00 PM from Benefield Funeral Chapel with Rev. Robert Welch officiating. Burial will follow at Canaan Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 5:00-7:00 PM on Friday, February 27, 2015. Mrs. Molden passed away Tuesday, February 24, 2015, at her residence. Survivors include her husband, James Molden of Wadley; one daughter, Carolyn D. Molden of Douglasville, GA; three sons, Calvin Sims (wife, Veronica) of Decatur, GA, Tommy Molden of Winstonville, MS, and Kenneth Molden (wife, Lavonda) of Atlanta, GA; 12 grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; four sisters, Lovie Tyler of Atlanta, GA, Eva Houston of Austell, GA, Faye Smith of Wedowee, and Annie L. Marsh of Wedowee; and five brothers, Douglas Sims (wife, Francis), Grady Sims (wife, Catherine), Rev. A.J. Sims (wife, Ann), Ivers Sims (wife, Vanessa), and Arthur Sims (wife, Barbara), all of Wedowee. Pallbearers will be Mrs. Molden’s nephews. A Wedowee native, Mrs. Molden was born on May 17, 1942, the daughter of Willie Douglas and Fannie Mae Knight Sims. She was a member of Canaan Baptist Church and worked as a caregiver at Ava Hills Assisted Living. Mrs. Molden was preceded in death by her parents and three brothers, John Sims, Joe Frank Sims, and Donald Eugene Sims.
