Funeral services for Dolly Reaves Knott, age 87, of Graham will be held on Tuesday, March 31, 2015, at 2:00 PM from Pine Hill Christian Church with Pastor Dick Hollis and Pastor David Screws officiating. Burial will follow in the adjoining cemetery with Benefield Funeral Home of Wedowee in charge of arrangements.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 5:00-8:00 PM on Monday, March 30, 2015. Ms. Knott will lie in state at the church for one hour prior to services beginning on Tuesday.

Ms. Knott passed away Sunday, March 29, 2015, at Traylor’s Nursing Center in Roanoke.

Survivors include: three daughters, Shirley Miles (husband, H.G.) of Graham, Kathy Ellerbee (husband, Ken) of Peachtree City, GA, and Carol Skinner of Franklin, GA; one son, Jimmy Knott of Brandon, FL; seven grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; and one brother, R.C. Reaves of Wetumpka.

Pallbearers will be Greg Edwards, Bliss Rogers, Wesley Stewart, Nick Parrish, Brady Phillips, and Colby Spears.

A Randolph County native, Ms. Knott was born on May 29, 1927, the daughter of Jim D. and Missouri Hill Reaves. She was a member of Pine Hill Christian Church and worked as a seamstress for BBI. Ms. Knott was preceded in death by her parents; grandson, Marty Miles; and nine brothers and sisters.
