Funeral services for Alice Yvonne Haynes, age 67, of Wedowee, AL, will be held on Tuesday, May 19, 2015, at 11:00 AM (CST) from Happy Valley Baptist Church in Newnan, GA, with Rev. Donald Lee officiating. Burial will follow in Oakhill Cemetery in Newnan with Benefield Funeral Home of Wedowee in charge of arrangements.
The family will receive friends at the church from 9:00-11:00 AM (CST) on Tuesday morning.
Mrs. Haynes passed away Saturday, May 16, 2015, at her residence.
Survivors include her husband, Thomas Haynes of Wedowee; one daughter, Kimberly Nelson of Wedowee; two grandchildren; two sisters, Emma Jeanette of Harlan, KY, and Joyce Hisel of Lexington, KY; and two brothers, Bert Boggs of Middlesboro, KY, and Matthew Boggs of Pine Mountain, KY.
A Harlan, Kentucky native, Mrs. Haynes was born on October 6, 1947, the daughter of Ray and Cindy Ellen Turner Boggs. She worked as a truck driver for Bobby Owensby Trucking Company. Mrs. Haynes was preceded in death by her parents and two brothers, George Boggs and Silven Boggs.
