Obituary of Henry Earl Bennett

Funeral services for Henry Earl Bennett, age 72, of Wedowee will be held on Thursday, June 11, 2015, at 5:00 PM from Benefield Funeral Chapel with Rev. Bobby Burroughs officiating. Burial will follow at Wedowee City Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 3:00-5:00 PM on Thursday, June 11, 2015. Mr. Bennett passed away Tuesday, June 9, 2015, at his residence. Survivors include: one daughter, Heather Emory of Dallas, GA; former wife, Loretta Campbell Bennett of Dallas, GA; three sisters, Jayne Bennett Hedges of Florida, Loraine Tallent and Faye Stovall, both of Atlanta, GA; and one brother, Tony Bennett of Atlanta, GA. A Georgia native, Mr. Bennett was born on August 2, 1942, the son of Marion “Red” and Louise Mathews Bennett. He was Christian by faith, served in the U.S. Army, and worked in construction. Mr. Bennett was preceded in death by his parents and one sister, Hope Moncrief.
