Obituary of Tommy Glenn Geier

Funeral services for Tommy Glenn Geier, age 58, of Newell will be held on Tuesday, August 4, 2015, at 2:00 PM from Benefield Funeral Chapel with Rev. Jerry Bolt and Rev. Warren Wilson officiating. Burial will follow at Jordan Chapel Congregational Methodist Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 5:00-8:00 PM on Monday, August 03, 2015. Mr. Geier passed away Saturday, August 1, 2015, at Wedowee Hospital. Survivors include his wife, Regena Loveless Geier of Newell; one daughter, Ashley Rowland of Newell; one son, Jody Glenn Geier of Nashville, TN; three grandchildren; his father, Jack Geier; one sister, Tabatha Coleman of Ohatchee, AL; and three brothers, Mike Geier of Panama City, FL, Wayne Geier and Tim Geier of Anniston, AL. Pallbearers will be Ferrell Cofield, Adam Freed, Mikka Geier, Justin Loveless, Randall Rowland, and Shawn Collier. A Calhoun County native, Mr. Geier was born on September 7, 1956, the son of Jack and Louise Sutley Geier. He was a member of Delta Independent Church. Mr. Geier was a machinist by trade and an avid gunsmith. He loved shooting and the outdoors. He was a loving husband, father and brother. We will truly miss him. Mr. Geier was preceded in death by his mother and one brother, Ricky Geier.
