Obituary of Inez Hanner McManus

Funeral services for Inez Hanner McManus, age 89, of Woodland, will be held on Thursday, October 22, 2015, at 2:00 PM from East Napoleon Church of Christ with Bro. Lee Messer and Bro. Billy Prince, Jr. officiating. Burial will follow in the adjoining cemetery with Benefield Funeral Home in charge of arrangements. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 5:00-8:00 PM on Wednesday, October 21, 2015. Mrs. McManus passed away on Tuesday, October 20, 2015, at her home. Survivors include one daughter, Virginia Ann Windsor (husband, Clark) of Woodland; three sons, James Ridley McManus of Woodland, Don Lee McManus (wife, Michelle) of Roanoke; and Jerry Charles McManus (wife, Loretta) of Woodland; ten grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; one sister, Lorene Cofield of Woodland; and one brother, Charlie Hanner of Woodland. A Randolph County native, Mrs. McManus was born on April 23, 1926, the daughter of Charlie Lee and Lola Harris Hanner. She was a member of East Napoleon Church of Christ and was a homemaker. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, James Robert McManus; one son, John Robert McManus; two sisters, Lucille Wilson and Doris Morgan; and four brothers, Roy, Ray, Emmett, and Elliott Hanner.
