Bill was a very kind and patient man in my early apprenticeship days of Sheet Metal Work. He also Lead me to the Lord and thereupon I was baptized by Mike Mallory.
Dean & Mike were like Brothers to me at that time back in our younger days.
I'm saddened I was not able to make it up to the funeral as I live in S.A.
My Heartfelt prayers go out to The Mallory Family.
Bill Mallory Will never be forgotten by this SMW.
Fraternally Yours,
Jack Abercrombie

Shirley & Family: As you all join together to celebrate Bill's life hold on to the memories that you all shared. Bill was a very special man and will remain in all your hearts forever. Shirley; you both were the best neighbors I can truly say that I have ever had. I always felt safe knowing you both were there for me. I remember several times Bill coming over checking on me when he wouldn't see any lights on. I still look over at your house and miss you each and every day. Bill has gone home now, but he as well as you Shirley will always share a special spot in my heart. During the difficult days ahead try to remember all the good times, the laughs & the wonderful life you both shared together. With the utmost respect & love take care my friend!

Shirley and boys, I am so very sorry for your loss, but know that your grief is shared by remaining family members. Ray was one of the finest gentleman I've ever known, and my very favorite first cousin. My mother Lillian Myrtle Simmons Hill and his mother were sisters. Ray's mother, Aunt Agnes helped to raise my mother when their parents died.
My childhood was made happier because of Ray. He was two years older than me, but more like a big brother than a cousin. I was a tomboy and Ray was always patient and kind to me and let me hang around and pester him. He would take me to pick chinqapins, let me gather eggs, go with him to milk, pick cherries, green apples and grapes. He showed me how to catch tadpoles and frogs. My husband and my children visited with you all in Richmond, Va. and Greensboro, N. C. And Shirley, I went to your wedding and I still remember the beautiful day and the lovely music. "The Rose". Ray has told me what a wonderful wife you have been to him. And he was so proud of his boys, who probably don't remember me, but that's okay. I love you all and I ask the Lord to give you the peace and comfort that no human. Wish I could be with you.
Sincerely, Sandra Hill Karnes

Ms. Shirley, Mike and Dean, we are so sorry for your loss. Mr. Bill was family to us. He was like a Grandpa to my kids as they were growing up. I will always remember Garrett and Callie getting home from school and instead of going out to play with friends, they wanted to know if they could go see Mr. Bill. He still has a special place in their hearts today. We will always cherish our visits to your new place and your visits back to Carrollton. Sawyer's rides with Mr. Bill on his tractor will never be forgotten. We love you Ms. Shirley and will see you soon.
