Funeral services for Ruby Lois Molden, age 88, of Wedowee will be held on Saturday, January 16, 2016, at 1:00 PM from Benefield Funeral Chapel with Pastor William Phillips, Pastor Scotty McClain, and Tom Williams, acting Pastor of Stephens Mission Methodist Church, officiating. Burial will follow at Stephens Mission Methodist Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 5:00-7:00 PM on Friday, January 15, 2016. Mrs. Molden passed away Tuesday, January 12, 2016, at Noland Hospital in Anniston. Survivors include; three daughters, Pat Cole of Boston, MA, Belinda Stephens of Heflin, and Dr. Maria Noitakis of Honolulu, HI; two sons, Minister Timothy Lamar Molden (wife, Debra) of Wedowee and Reginald Molden (wife, Ada) of Birmingham; daughter-in-law, Laura Scales; 17 grandchildren; 30 great-grandchildren; and one sister, Ann O’Neal of Atlanta, GA. Pallbearers will be Mrs. Molden’s nephews, grandsons, and friends. A Randolph County native, Mrs. Molden was born on May 3, 1927, the daughter of Luther D. and Annie May Trammell Scales. She was a member of Stephens Mission Methodist Church and worked for Crafthouse on an assembly line. Mrs. Molden was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Leroy Molden; one daughter, Jeanette Molden; one son, Chester Dion Scales; two sisters, Katherine Heard and Agnes Bernard; two brothers, Luther Scales and Herbert Scales; and three sons-in-law, James Stephens, Theodore J. Cole, and John Frank Cole.
