Graveside services for Norman John Hoyhtya, age 90, of Woodland will be held on Friday, January 22, 2016, at 11:45 AM at the Alabama National Cemetery in Montevallo with Rev. David Taft officiating.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 5:00-7:00 PM on Thursday, January 21, 2016.

Mr. Hoyhtya passed away Saturday, January 16, 2016, at Wedowee Hospital.

Mr. Hoyhtya is survived by his wife, Pearl Bryan of Woodland and several nieces and nephews.

A Minnesota native, Mr. Hoyhtya was born on May 1, 1925, the son of John and Mary Walima Hoyhtya. He was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II and was self-employed. Mr. Hoyhtya was preceded in death by his parents and one brother, Charlie Hoyhtya.
