Memorial services for Jean Edmondson Thomas Mitchell will be held on Saturday, March 19, 2016, at 11:00 AM from Auslin’s Chapel Methodist Church.
Mrs. Mitchell passed away Wednesday, March 16, 2016, at Traylor’s Retirement Center.
Survivors include: one daughter, Robin Vickery of Wedowee; one grandchild, Stacey Carroll of Birmingham; two great-grandchildren, Faith Carroll and Maddox Carroll; four sisters, Marie Cline, Sarah Wilson, and Elaine Blake, all of Wedowee and Penny Nicholls of Birmingham; one brother, Rayford Edmondson of Wedowee; and a host of nieces and nephews.
A Randolph County native, Mrs. Mitchell was born on June 30, 1931, the daughter of Whit and Etta Formby Edmondson. She was a member of Auslin’s Chapel Methodist Church and worked as a secretary for Cheaha Mental Health Center. Mrs. Mitchell was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Bert Mitchell; one sister, Joyce Ebert; and two brothers, Richard and Cecil Edmondson.
