Funeral services for Dalton Thomas Burke, age 15, of Heflin will be held on Monday, June 27, 2016, at 2:00 PM from Pilgrim’s Rest Baptist Church with Bro. Mike Drummonds officiating. Burial will follow in the adjoining cemetery with Benefield Funeral Home of Wedowee in charge of arrangements.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 4:00-8:00 PM on Sunday, June 26, 2016.
Dalton passed away Friday, June 24, 2016.
Survivors include his mother, Mindy Cavender of Heflin; paternal grandparents, Kenneth Phillips and Steve and Jane Burke; maternal grandparents, Ricky and Patti Cavender and Marilyn Williams; one sister, Reanna Burke of Heflin; and one brother, Michael Riley Burke of Heflin.
A Randolph County native, Dalton was born on January 29, 2001, the son of Michael Thomas Burke and Mindy Cavender. He was Baptist by faith and was a student at Randolph County High School. Dalton was preceded in death by his father, Tommy Burke and grandmother, Cindy Phillips.
