Funeral services for Dwayne David Jones, age 56, of Roanoke will be held on Tuesday, July 19, 2016, at 4:00 PM from Benefield Funeral Chapel. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 2:00-4:00 PM before the service begins.
Mr. Jones passed away Saturday, July 16, 2016, at his residence.
Survivors include his wife, Patsy Jones of Roanoke; two daughters, Heather McCard of Birmingham and Starla Jones of Roanoke; three grandchildren, Patience, Joe and Kyra Brown; his mother, Geneva Jones of Roanoke; and two sisters, Gail Cummings of Tennessee and Jan Haralson of LaGrange, GA.
A Heard County, Georgia native, Mr. Jones was born on August 5, 1959, the son of William David and Dovie Geneva Hood Jones. He was Catholic by faith and worked as merchant marine. Mr. Jones was preceded in death by his father.
