Obituary of Lilly Jane Smith

Funeral services for Lilly Jane Smith, age 70, of Woodland will be held on Friday, July 29, 2016, at 2:00 PM at Benefield Funeral Chapel with Rev. David Daniel and Rev. Carlton Phillips officiating. Burial will follow at Liberty East Baptist Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 5:00-8:00 PM on Thursday, July 28, 2016. Mrs. Smith passed away Tuesday, July 26, 2016, at Traylor’s Nursing Center in Roanoke. Survivors include her husband, Waymon Smith of Woodland; two sons, Tim Smith (wife, Sonya) of Wedowee and Kevin Smith (wife, Susan) of Roanoke; six grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren. Pallbearers will be Connor Smith, Logan Smith, Jake Smith, Adam Deason, Wallace Fetner, Larry Smith, and Emmitt Smith. A Randolph County native, Mrs. Smith was born on February 16, 1946, the daughter of Roland and Edna Mae Hester Smith. She was a member of Liberty East Baptist Church and worked as a seamstress for Lamar Manufacturing Co. Mrs. Smith was preceded in death by her parents.
