Susie Victoria Smith McLeod, age 85, of Newell, passed away on December 24, 2016, at her home.
Survivors include one daughter, Betty Herren of Newell; and two grandchildren, Grover Davis Herren and Mack Herren.
A Cleburne County native, Mrs. McLeod was born on March 29, 1931, the daughter of Rowland Smith. She was Baptist by faith and had been employed by Bremen Bowdon Investment Company as a seamstress. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Clarence Huford McLeod; two sons; one sister; and five brothers.
