I was so saddened to learn of Rodney's passing. As a fellow Vietnam Sentry Dog handler, I enjoyed my friendship with him in the service, and especially as we connected at reunions, most recently this March in San Antonio. My deepest sympathy goes out to you Cecilia and to your entire family. May the Amazing Grace of God hold you close during these days. Heaven looks better because Rodney's there.

Please accept my sincere condolences during this time of grief. My hope is that the words of Christ Jesus be of comfort, when he stated that "the hour is coming in which all those in the memorial tombs will hear his voice and come out" (John 5: 28, 29). We can also take comfort in God's personal promise to "wipe out every tear" and that soon, even "death will be no more" (Revelation 21: 4).

Cecelia and Family:
Condolences to you and the family. I first met Rodney when he came to Columbia, SC in the early 1970's to visit the Employment Security Commission for the Bureau of Labor Statistics/BLS. We had many great times together when he visited or we saw each other at conferences throughout the southeast.
My wife Sharon and I even got a chance to see the Wedowee Lake House and the Christmas tree farm. Such a wonderful and peaceful area he was able to be at -- I can picture him now up in heaven with an overview of his lakefront property.
I was very intimidated the first time I saw Rodney come into the agency office, his size and presence was gigantic. Within the first few minutes of talking to him I quickly knew what a kind and gentle person he was. As the years went by, I was even more enthralled by his integrity, his knowledge, his generosity, and love of life.
I was blessed to be Rodney's friend and a colleague.
Peace be with you and the family,
Gary Crossley

Rodney was a fabulous person that I loved instantly when I first met him in 1990 at the Bureau. He was a one-of-a-kind guy that everyone adored. I have never forgotten him in the 20 years since he retired and I never will. We never stopped taking about him around here. He was a real gem. My best wishes go out to his family and friends as they work through this heartbreaking loss.

I had the pleasure of working with and getting to know Rodney through the Bureau of Labor Statistics. For a number of years, he was a light of common sense and good fun for his colleagues working on the same statistical programs in the States and regional offices. God bless Mr. Morrison and his beloved family. He is fondly remembered.
